One need only watch this short campaign clip and compare the high-sounding rhetoric of moral superiority with the pernicious, brazen violation of the public trust that Obama and his gang of draconian Democrats have just committed with the profoundly partisan and unethical passage of the $800 billion Economic Paralysis package.

"Transparency, Openness" is the New 'Glasnost, Perestroika!' In the Obama Administration, It Means Teleprompters and Pre-Staged Press Conferences.

As I watched Obama's first presidential press conference unfold on Monday, the first thing I noticed--other than the fact that it was a thoroughly scripted, prescreened, predetermined, precalculated affair, as most media events involving a U.S. president are--was that when he called on reporters, he appeared to be reading their names from a preselected list.  

Now, this, in and of itself, to me is not a grievous offense, in the larger scheme of things.  But it does underscore the fact that the Obama presidency is all about pretention, posturing and prevaricating (and, of course, ruling by imperial dictat, wielding power and reigning through subterfuge and machiavellian means).  

It underscores the fact that, with this administration, micro-management is the watchword. No variable, however small and seemingly insignificant, is to be left uncontrolled, unchoreographed.  Everything must have prior authorization and approval from the throne. Every question from the floor must give the president ample opportunity to display his decisiveness, his eloquence, reflect his profound powers of analytical observation, intelligence and insightful utterance.  He must appear to be far superior to the journalistic drones in the room, and he must bedazzle the adoring millions/minions watching by television.

At the very least, what matters in this Obama Nation we've just created, as Rush Limbaugh so presciently observed about the Clinton administration, is "symbolism over substance."

Which is precisely what this "transparency" press conference was all about.  The proverbial dog and pony show.  It is the same show of "transparency" that every despot (and in American politics, every draconian Democrat and reprobate Republican) has used since time immemorial to bamboozle the masses and enlarge and expand the power of the federal government.

Transparency?  Yes.  We can see right through it.

You need to read Sam Webb's speech delivered at a People's Weekly World conference on Jan. 31, 2009.  People's Weekly World is an 85-year-old publication affiliated with the Communist Party USA (of which Sam Webb is national chairman).  It makes the New York Times and Washington Post look like The Limbaugh Letter.

This does not bode well for America when her newbie president gets lavished with praise, adoration and support from quarters where the very principles that made America the political, social, economic--and until the last century, spiritual--envy of the world, have been utterly denounced, renounced and roundly trounced by a rival philosophy that treats people as though they were interchangeable, expendable lumps of clay to be shaped, formed and rigorously controlled, like mindless morons, by an Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent State, rather than as the priceless, unique individuals designed for freedom, personal fulfillment, achievement, responsibility and self-government, made in the image of God, as they truly are.  

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the People's Republic of Obama.  "Change" is the new opiate for the masses.  The kind of 19th and 20th century change that Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Chairman Mao, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez fought for.  In Barack We Trust.

First Week of Obama's Millenial Reign: Proclaiming Liberty for Terrorists/Enemy Combatants; Expanded Death Penalty for Fetuses; 'Triumphal Entry.'

Busy week for the Appointed One.  After partying and hobnobbing with the upper crust of Hollywood & the debauched entertainment industry & leftist elite in America on Inauguration Night (oops, sorry, military vets and heroes, didn't have time to go to your event--attended by every new president since Eisenhower), celebrating the nonviolent coup they scored back in November, it was down to business.  Executive Orders were flying.  Closing the Guantanamo Bay Terrorist Resort & Spa next year, ensuring the U.S. would continue its irrational policy of bending over backwards to preserve, protect & defend the unconstitutional rights of enemy combatants, no matter where we accommodate them.  Providing the abortion industry at home and abroad with a federal "bailout"of its own, ensuring that the worldwide scourge of fetal genocide will continue to expand compliments of U.S. taxpayers and lawmakers who are hell-bent on imposing mandatory "Freedom of Choice" on every nation, tribe and tongue, making abortion services obligatory and perfunctory.  And amidst the flurry of imperial dictats there was even a presidential memorandum ensuring a "transparent and open government" with the new Obama administration. (You know. Glasnost. Perestroika.)  Yup, just another week at the office.

To top it off, an inspired artist named Matthew Clark fashioned a life-size effigy of Mr. Obama, firmly ensconced on the backside of a donkey, and paraded him down the streets of Des Moines, Iowa.  The messianic overtones, to be sure, were subtle.

Let's Do That Oath Thing Again--We Wouldn't Want Somebody Claiming Later On That Barack's Presidency Is Not Constitutionally Valid (Now Would We?)

I nearly fell out of my JC Penney outlet store dining room chair when I heard that Barack Obama and Chief Justice John Roberts were reunited today for a second attempt at the Presidential Oath of Office, one and a half days after the original was muffed so badly by Justice Roberts and Mr. Obama.

Rumblings in the media and misgivings amongst the legal beagles at the Justice Department converged harmoniously into one consensus decision that it would be best to have a "super-abundance" of caution in making sure that all constitutional "i"s were dotted and "t"s crossed before proceeding with the messianic presidency of Mr. Obama, so as to avoid the potential embarrassing (and logical) scenario described by one law professor at George Washington University, i.e., that "there are going to be people who for the next four years are going to argue that he didn't meet the constitutional standard" as a result of the infelicitously administered oath.

Hmmm.  Ultra-scrupulous about constitutional requirements, aren't we?

Seems to me there was this one little misplaced, long-forgotten, anachronistic and forlorn constitutional requirement that was a non-issue during the campaign, though it should have been settled and met LONG, LONG BEFORE we ever got to the $170 million inauguration ceremony. 

It's called being a natural-born citizen.

Where was this constitutional law professor from academia when the Obama campaign--and their sycophants in the illiberal media--were covering up the fact that Obama had never demonstrated, by means of a simple, original birth certificate (not a Certification of Live Birth fraudulently altered and posted on the Internet!), that he met this clear-cut, no-nonsense requirement?

What could be more fitting on the 36th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, Jan. 22nd, than for the newly-sworn-in president, Barack Hussein Obama, inveterate supporter of abortion-on-demand and booster-extraordinaire for Planned Parenthood, to sign into law the deplorable and disingenuously named "Freedom of Choice" Act.  

King Herod, of first-century infanticidal fame, would have been proud. Whereas that Herod the messiah-killer--written of in the Gospels as the paranoid despot looking to quash all future competition from potential political interlopers--only sought to exterminate male infants under the age of two, this quasi-messiah from the Land of Lincoln would breathlessly remove all government restrictions against the categorical and wholesale extermination of all infants, male and female, before they are even born, never mind toddlers with a bit of testosterone or babes in mangers.   

The "Freedom of Choice" Act is an equal-opportunity, non-discriminating edict pronouncing anathema on all existing government restrictions--be they federal, state or local--against fetal homicide, and is aimed squarely at the sensibilities of Right-to-Lifers, Christians, conservatives, devout people of faith, and all those who appreciate and respect the prerogative our Creator has over the beginning and ending of life, i.e., those who have not been chronically afflicted (or indoctrinated via the state education system) with the debilitating disorder known as liberalism/socialism.
